It’s perfect as a snack or to pair it with the afternoon tea break. More nutritious than traditional ones since they have chickpea flour!
Vegan Scones
I discovered British scones while living in the UK a long time ago! However, they are a bit too oily for my taste. I love this recipe because it’s:
Healthier than most scone recipes I’ve seen.
Super quick and easy to make, only 10 minutes in the oven.
It has chickpea flour but you can’t tell.
They are absolutely delicious!
Simple Ingredients
Chickpea flour
Whole wheat flour
Olive oil
Powdered sugar
Unsweetened soy milk
Baking powder
Salt
Don’t worry, you don’t taste the chickpea flour, you taste the whole wheat perfectly combined with everything else in this recipe.
Olive oil replacement: You can replace it with a good quality vegan butter.
Gluten free: Replace whole wheat flour with GF oat flour.
Soy free: Use unsweetened oat milk, almond milk or coconut milk instead of soy milk.
